Police, Premium Trust Bank Boost Community Security

The Anambra State Police Command, on Wednesday, in collaboration with Premium Trust Bank, reinforced its commitment to improved security service delivery and community-oriented policing in the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, in a statement, said this forms part of activities marking the 2026 National Police Day celebration held in Awka, the Anambra State capital.

During the celebration, the Command conducted a security advocacy visit to selected schools.

He said that during the visit, officers engaged students and staff on safety awareness, crime prevention, and the importance of cooperating with law enforcement agencies.

According to him, the initiative is aimed at fostering a culture of security consciousness among young people.

Additionally, he stated that the Command extended alms to members of the public as part of its humanitarian outreach, underscoring the Police’s dedication not only to law enforcement but also to the welfare and well-being of the community.

These activities highlight the Command’s resolve to strengthen public trust, promote community policing, and build a safer and more inclusive society.

In attendance were ASP Agaba Alexander, the Anambra Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) Coordinator, and the representative of Premium Trust Bank, Ms. Stella Umezinwa, along with her entourage.

The Anambra State Police Command reassures Ndi Anambra of its continued commitment to protecting lives and property while maintaining a people-friendly approach to policing.
