Hope for Candidates as JAMB Releases 279 Withheld UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Thursday released 279 results that had previously been withheld for further investigation.
According to JAMB, the newly released results are in addition to those earlier made public by the Board.
The examination body disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday.
The release follows ongoing investigations into cases of suspected examination malpractice across various centres.
JAMB stated that while some results have been outrightly cancelled following the establishment of credible evidence of malpractice, others have been released after the Board found no prima facie case against the affected candidates.
The Board further explained that results from centres where its live monitoring team detected suspicious activities, or where adverse reports were received, would remain withheld pending the conclusion of investigations.

It added that any result linked to confirmed malpractice would be cancelled accordingly.
“Candidates whose results have not yet been released are advised to check their status by sending UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for registration to view their released results,” JAMB stated.
