BREAKING: Tinubu Defeats Challenger in Anambra APC Presidential Primary by Landslide

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has secured a resounding victory in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Primary Election held in Anambra State, defeating his sole challenger, Mr. Osifo Osayamen Stanley, by an overwhelming margin.
Official results released at the conclusion of the exercise showed that President Tinubu garnered a total of 43,034 votes, while Mr. Osifo Osayamen Stanley polled 383 votes, underscoring the President’s firm grip on the party structure and growing influence within the state.
The closely monitored primary election witnessed massive participation from APC delegates and party faithful across Anambra State.
The exercise was coordinated by Distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, who served as the Anambra State Coordinator and Collation Officer of the APC Presidential Primary Election Committee.
The primary was conducted under tight security, with party stakeholders and independent observers describing the process as peaceful, orderly, transparent, and credible.
Speaking after the collation of results, APC leaders commended the smooth conduct of the exercise and attributed the overwhelming support for President Tinubu to growing confidence in his leadership, governance style, and Renewed Hope agenda.
Party officials further noted that the outcome reflects the increasing acceptance of the APC in Anambra State and signals a strategic political shift in the South-East region, traditionally considered a difficult terrain for the ruling party.
The successful organization of the primary election was also credited to the administrative competence and political experience of Senator Uche Ekwunife, whose coordination was widely praised for ensuring a seamless process devoid of rancour, logistical setbacks, or major disputes.
Political analysts believe the outcome of the primary will further consolidate the APC’s political structure in Anambra State and strengthen the party’s positioning ahead of future electoral contests in the South-East.
