Eid el-Kabir: Soludo Urges Muslims to Pray for Enduring Peace, Unity in Nigeria
The Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo, has urged all Muslim faithful to use the spiritual significance of Eid el-Kabir to offer prayers for enduring peace, unity, and accelerated progress in Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Christian Aburime, Soludo made the call while conveying his felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Anambra State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid el-Kabir.
In his goodwill message, Governor Soludo noted that the Sallah festival holds profound universal significance, reminding people of the virtues of obedience, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to divine will and the common good of humanity.
He emphasized the importance of sharing meals, extending acts of charity, and fostering mutual tolerance and peaceful coexistence among all citizens, irrespective of religious or ethnic background.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents of Anambra State and to creating an environment where every citizen can celebrate in peace during this season and beyond.
Governor Soludo warmly wished all Muslims a happy Barka da Sallah, praying that the blessings of the season fill every home with joy, peace, and prosperity.
