Anambra APC Chairman Begins Reconciliation Drive Ahead of 2027 General Elections

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Senator Emma Anosike, has commenced a harmonisation and reconciliation process aimed at uniting aggrieved members of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Anosike acknowledged that the party’s internal processes had left some members dissatisfied and pledged to lead a more inclusive administration anchored on consultation, mutual respect, and collective responsibility.
His reconciliation initiative follows the directive of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC to reconcile all interest groups within the party in Anambra State as part of efforts to strengthen its internal cohesion.
In line with the NWC’s move, the state chairman extended an olive branch to aggrieved members, stressing that only a united APC could secure victory in the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking at his country home in Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area, Anosike expressed optimism that lasting peace and unity would be achieved within the party, providing the foundation for the APC to realise its electoral ambitions in the state and contribute to the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.
He emphasised the need for members to set aside their differences and work together in the collective interest of the party, noting that unity remained the most critical ingredient for political success.
The state chairman maintained that rather than engage in internal conflicts, APC leaders, stakeholders, and members across Anambra State should embrace dialogue and reconciliation as the pathway to rebuilding the party.
“Let me also say that the time has come for us to make peace within the party. People should not see peace as defeat. Peace is what we need to move the party forward,” he said.
Anosike reiterated his commitment to carrying every segment of the party along, acknowledging that some members had legitimate grievances arising from previous internal processes. He assured members that his leadership would prioritise inclusiveness, fairness, and broad-based consultations in decision-making.
He also promised sustained consultations with party leaders, stakeholders, and members at the ward, local government, senatorial district, and state levels to further strengthen unity and reposition the APC for future electoral contests.
According to him, the party can only achieve meaningful electoral success through unity, discipline, and collective commitment, assuring members that all internal disagreements would be resolved through dialogue.
“Our first campaign must therefore be reconciliation. Our first victory must be victory over bitterness,” he said.
He urged party members to place the interest of the APC in Anambra State and the re-election of President Bola Tinubu above personal grievances, insisting that a united front would enhance the party’s chances of success in the 2027 general elections.
