Nonye Soludo: BudgIT Health Activism Award Renews My Commitment to Service
The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has described her 2026 BudgIT Active Citizens Award for Health Activism as both a humbling honour and a renewed call to serve with even greater passion, commitment, and dedication.
Dr. Soludo, who is also the wife of the Governor of Anambra State and the founder of the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, made this known on Thursday.
According to her, the recognition belongs not only to her but also to every member of the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, its valued partners, healthcare professionals, volunteers, community leaders, and the resilient people of Anambra State who have embraced the vision of wellness and healthy living.
She described the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative as a family united by a shared vision and driven by one common goal of promoting healthier lifestyles and improving the well-being of communities across the state.
“We have shown that when communities take ownership of their health, lasting transformation becomes not only possible but sustainable.
“I sincerely thank BudgIT, Civic Hive, and the Ford Foundation for this extraordinary recognition. It inspires us to keep expanding our reach, touching more lives, and building a healthier, stronger, and more prosperous Anambra State. The work continues. God bless you all,” she added.
