Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Uche Ekwunife, has expressed confidence that the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will earn the APC a landslide victory in Anambra State, the South-East and Nigeria at large.

Ekwunife, who was a deputy governorship candidate in the 2024 Anambra State governorship election, stated this at the end of a joint meeting between the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), Anambra State Chapter, and APC National Assembly candidates held on Thursday in Awka, the Anambra State capital.

According to her, the meeting was convened to strengthen collaboration and mobilise support for the electoral victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as APC candidates contesting for the Senate, House of Representatives and other elective positions in the state.

“We are here to re-emphasise the need for the APC to win elections at all levels, the presidency, Senate, House of Representatives and other positions,” she said.

Ekwunife said the time was right for the people of Anambra State and the South-East to support the President, arguing that they had witnessed the impact of his administration’s policies and projects across the region.

“You can see what President Tinubu has done for Ndigbo and what he has done for Anambra, Imo, Abia, Enugu and Ebonyi states,” she said.

She explained that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative was aimed at rekindling hope among Nigerians and encouraging citizens to appreciate and support the President’s programmes and policies.

“We in Anambra State have categorically agreed that we are voting APC from top to bottom, and there is no going back,” Ekwunife declared.

Speaking on infrastructure and the road network in the South-East, she urged Nigerians to compare the condition of the roads and other infrastructure in the region with what obtained a few years ago.

“You asked me about my impression of the road network in the South-East. What did you see yourself? I am sure that what you saw today is not what you saw a few years ago.
“I hope that what we have today represents a renewed road network in the South-East, one that we have never experienced before. We have seen renewed infrastructure, renewed hope, a renewed environment and a government that is working for the people under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” she said.

The former deputy governorship candidate also said democracy should not be viewed solely through the prism of elections, but also in terms of its capacity to deliver economic growth, infrastructure and improved living conditions for the people.

According to her, Nigerians can already see the impact of the President’s efforts to reposition the country’s economy through reforms being implemented across various sectors.

“The President is resetting the economy of the country through various reforms across all strata,” she said.

Ekwunife further maintained that the APC in Anambra State remained united and determined to pursue its political objectives collectively.

She dismissed reports of division within the party, stressing that party members were working together towards victory in the forthcoming elections.

“APC in Anambra State is one united family. We will pursue our political dreams together, and we will win together. There is no division in Anambra State APC,” she said.
