Gov.Soludo Celebrates Bishop Ezeokafor at 74, Hails His Legacy of Peace, Service

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has described His Lordship, Most Reverend Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor, the Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Awka, as a respected spiritual father and a consistent advocate of peace, unity, and development.
He said Bishop Ezeokafor has remained a steady moral voice whose leadership continues to enrich the faith community and the wider society in Anambra State and beyond.
Governor Soludo made the remarks in a statement issued on Sunday by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, to mark the Bishop’s 74th birthday.
In his goodwill message, Governor Soludo eulogised Bishop Ezeokafor for devoting his life to the service of God and humanity through decades of priestly dedication and pastoral commitment.
According to Soludo, Bishop Ezeokafor, who was ordained a priest in 1984, served as Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Awka from 2007 to 2011 and has continued to serve as the Bishop of the Diocese with distinction, pastoral wisdom, and an unrelenting commitment to the spiritual and social well-being of the people.
He said Bishop Ezeokafor had become a living testimony to the possibilities that come through divine grace, steadfast faith, and dedicated service.
“His Lordship remains a respected spiritual father, a consistent advocate of peace, unity, and development, and a steady moral voice whose leadership continues to enrich the faith community and the larger society in Anambra State and beyond,” the Governor noted.
As Most Reverend Paulinus Chukwuemeka Ezeokafor marks another year of the gift of life and God’s faithfulness, Governor Soludo wished him a joyful and memorable birthday celebration.
The Governor also prayed that the Lord would continue to grant the Bishop robust health, renewed strength, wisdom, and abundant grace for many more impactful years in the service of God and humanity.
The statement added that Bishop Ezeokafor’s continued ministry and contributions remain a source of spiritual guidance and inspiration to the people of Anambra State and the wider society.
