2027: Why Umu-Idemili Must Choose Eric Anyamene Over Party Politics

As the 2027 general elections draw closer, the good people of Idemili North and South Federal Constituency must not afford to make another costly mistake in choosing who represents them in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly.
There is still ample time and opportunity for Umu-Idemili to open their eyes and ears, carefully assess the available choices, and distinguish between what is genuinely valuable and what merely appears attractive.
The time to make the right decision about our collective future is now.
What we are saying, without mincing words, is that Engr. Eric Anyamene, Ezenwa Obosi, is the man whose cap fits perfectly to represent Umu-Idemili in the 2027 general election.
Let us get this right: a political party is not a human being. A party has no personal character, blood, conscience or soul. Ultimately, the people elect an individual to represent them, not merely a political party’s logo. In 2027, Umu-Idemili must not vote for anyone simply because of the political party to which he belongs, but because of his character, competence, capacity and compassion.
God has presented candidates before us, both individually and collectively, and it is our responsibility to make the right choice. Let us decide our future now and avoid repeating the serious mistakes of the past.
Engr. Eric Anyamene is not a political tourist.
He is a man who has consistently demonstrated love for Idemili and maintained the interests of its people at heart, even long before he considered venturing into politics.
He did not suddenly remember Idemili because an election is approaching; Idemili has always occupied a special place in his heart.
He is a grassroots mobiliser par excellence, a philanthropist with a compassionate heart, and a man who believes in equity, justice and fairness.
He does not discriminate against anyone on the basis of community, background or social standing.
Whether one comes from Obosi, Ojoto, Ogidi, Uke, Ideani, Umuoji, Akwu-Ukwu, Nnobi or Nkpor, his conviction is that Idemili is one indivisible family whose collective interests must take precedence over individual or sectional considerations.
Ezenwa Obosi is a tested and trusted administrator with experience at both local and international levels.
According to his supporters, he has earned the trust of his people, associates and business partners through his approach to leadership and human relations.
He is down-to-earth, accessible and approachable—not the kind of representative who becomes unreachable to the people immediately after an election.
Idemili needs a voice, not an echo. It needs a representative who will actively champion the interests of his constituents in the National Assembly, rather than someone who will disappear into the corridors of power in Abuja and abandon the people who elected him.
Idemili needs a builder, not a storyteller; a representative who will prioritise practical solutions over empty promises and translate the people’s mandate into tangible results.
The constituency deserves effective representation that will give its communities a stronger voice in national affairs, attract meaningful development, promote youth empowerment, and address the needs of ordinary citizens.
The people must therefore look beyond party affiliation and carefully consider the character, competence, accessibility and commitment of whoever seeks their mandate.
In 2027, let us vote for competence over sentiments. Let us choose character over party loyalty. Let us support a candidate who understands the people’s challenges, appreciates their aspirations and remains connected to the communities he seeks to represent.
Engr. Eric Anyamene is accessible. He is available. He is capable. To his supporters, he represents the answer to Idemili’s demand for effective, people-oriented representation.
Umu-Idemili, shine your eyes and make your votes count. Look beyond party labels and make a choice that reflects your hopes and aspirations for the future.
