Tinubu Presents APC Flag to Ukachukwu; Ekwunife Urges Team to Deliver Anambra to APC
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed strong optimism and unwavering commitment to ensuring the All Progressives Congress (APC) secures a decisive victory in the upcoming Anambra State governorship election scheduled for November 8, 2025.
The President made this declaration at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa during a ceremony where he formally presented the APC flag to Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, the party’s governorship candidate, alongside his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife.
In a stirring address, President Tinubu charged the duo to “go and get me Anambra,” underscoring his confidence in their capacity to deliver the state for the APC.
The event, attended by senior party officials and government dignitaries, was marked by a palpable sense of enthusiasm.
Observers described the President’s public endorsement as both heartening and galvanizing, reflecting his full backing of the candidates and his faith in their ability to secure victory for the party.
President Tinubu assured Ukachukwu and Ekwunife of the party’s steadfast support, emphasizing, “We are going to work with you and stand by you come rain or shine.”
He further stated, “The party is supreme, but victory is superior and absolutely essential.”
Highlighting the collective efforts that led to the successful primary elections in April, the President praised the leadership of the APC at both the national and state levels for their dedication to the party’s success.
President Tinubu also lauded the selection of Senator Ekwunife as Ukachukwu’s running mate, describing her as a “round peg in a round hole” and an exemplary choice.
“Distinguished Senator Ekwunife, your selection as running mate is a masterstroke. I have no doubt that with you and our flagbearer, the APC will emerge victorious. You have been described as ‘giant killers,’ and I wish you both the very best in this crucial contest,” he remarked.
The flag presentation ceremony was graced by key party leaders, including the National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum and the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
With the party’s flag now officially entrusted to them, Ukachukwu and Ekwunife are poised to mount a robust campaign aimed at delivering Anambra State decisively into the APC fold.
