Rep. Ogah Calls for Immediate Resignation of WAEC , JAMB Heads

Hon. Amobi Ogah, the member representing Isiukwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has called for the immediate resignation of the Head of the National Office of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Dr. Amos Dangut, and the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede.

Ogah, who is a member of the House Committee on Basic Education and Examination Bodies, made this call during a session of the committee’s investigative panel.

Expressing strong dissatisfaction with recent examination outcomes, Ogah cited systemic failures and inefficiencies that have significantly affected students, particularly those from the South East region.

“The recent examination failures have brought untold hardship and uncertainty to our students, particularly those from the South East. It is imperative that those at the helm of affairs take responsibility and step down,” Hon. Ogah .
