Suspect Confesses to Kwara Student’s Murder, Claims Alcoholic Influence

Abdulrahman Bello, the prime suspect in the murder of Hafsoh Yetunde Lawal, a final-year student of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, has confessed to the crime.
According to Bello, he acted alone and was under the influence of alcohol when he committed the offense.

Bello stated that he killed Hafsoh alone, without any external involvement.
He confessed to cutting her body into pieces using a knife and cutlass found by the police in his apartment.

However, Bello’s testimony contains contradictions. While he admitted to dismembering the body, he claimed that Hafsoh died from an asthma attack during intercourse.

Cross-Examination Revelations
During cross-examination, Bello revealed that he didn’t call for help, report the incident to the police, or take the deceased to the hospital. He attributed this to fear of Hafsoh’s father.

The case has sparked shock and concern, and the court proceedings will likely determine the suspect’s fate.
