The MacRose Pleasant Humanitarian Foundation, a non-governmental organization dedicated to helping the less privileged, has announced plans to hold its second health outreach in Anambra State.

Founded in July 2024, the Foundation held its inaugural medical outreach in April this year, providing treatment to approximately 400 individuals suffering from various ailments.

This first event took place in Egbema Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State, where beneficiaries received medical care and expressed profound gratitude.

The initiative also earned commendations from local community members and clergy alike.

As the Foundation prepares to celebrate its first anniversary, its founder, Mr. Jeremiah Ifediniru, shared with journalists the inspiration behind establishing the organization.

He explained that the Foundation was born out of a deep desire to reach out to the needy and vulnerable.

“I’m truly happy this dream has come to fruition. Helping those in need has been my passion since childhood,” Mr. Ifediniru said.

He said that the Foundation operates without any political affiliations, focusing solely on providing access to free medical care for those who cannot afford it.

The success of the first outreach was made possible by assembling a dedicated team of health professionals, including medical doctors, pharmacists, and laboratory scientists, coordinated by the founder.

The event’s positive impact was evident as beneficiaries openly expressed their appreciation and prayed for the well-being of the founder and the entire team.

Mrs. Uju Oziga, General Manager of the Foundation, highlighted the range of ailments treated during the outreach, including chronic hypertension and eye diseases.

“It is heartbreaking that many people suffer from medical conditions without even realizing it. Even those who know about their illnesses often manage symptoms on their own due to a lack of funds for proper medical care,” Mrs. Oziga remarked.

Looking ahead to the Foundation’s anniversary, Mrs. Oziga told journalists, “We are preparing to expand our reach and impact as we enter our second year. We plan to hold more medical outreaches as long as our resources allow, and we will also visit orphanages to offer support and relief to as many people as possible.”

She called on well-meaning individuals and organizations to join in supporting the Foundation’s mission:

“We urge others to contribute and help us continue the vital work initiated by our founder.”she added.
