As the campaigns for the November 8 Anambra State governorship election intensify among the various political parties, Rev. Jerry Nwachukwu, General Overseer of Bible Base Assembly in Nkpor, Idemili North Local Government Area, has confidently declared that Governor Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) will be re-elected for a second term.
Rev. Nwachukwu, a passionate gospel preacher, public affairs commentator, and prophet, said that neither the influence of Peter Obi nor the presidency will prevent Professor Soludo from emerging victorious in the forthcoming election.
He noted that Governor Soludo has performed so well that no serious contender can challenge him effectively. “All available indications on the ground show that the governor faces no formidable opponent who can unseat him,” he said.
The cleric made these remarks during an interview with journalists at his church headquarters in Nkpor on Saturday, commenting on the expected outcome of the November 8 governorship election.
Known for his bold and fearless stance on public affairs, Rev. Nwachukwu identified several factors that guarantee Soludo’s victory. These include effective governance, the advantage of incumbency, and the state’s zoning arrangements.
“With these factors working in Governor Soludo’s favor, I am confident he will win decisively across all twenty-one local government areas of the state, mirroring the landslide success of his predecessor, former Governor Willie Obiano, in his second term bid,” he stated.
Addressing concerns from some quarters that the influence of Peter Obi the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, whose party is also contesting the governorship election as well as the ruling APC party’s backing might sway voters against Soludo, Rev. Nwachukwu dismissed such notions.
He stressed that Governor Soludo’s support base is solid and unshakeable.
“A lot of factors favor Governor Soludo’s victory. I don’t see anyone defeating him; in fact, I don’t even see anyone seriously contesting against him. I believe God has positioned him for a triumphant return in the forthcoming election,” he said.
