Prominent members of the Anambra State natives residing in Rivers State and Abia State have formally endorsed the re-election bid of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo ahead of the November 8 gubernatorial election in Anambra State.
The endorsement followed a recent strategic tour of key infrastructure projects completed by the Soludo administration, they include the newly constructed Government House, the Governor’s Lodge, and the innovative Solution Fun City, all located in Awka, the state capital.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Azubuike Okoye,a former lawmaker and current member of the Anambra Local Government Service Commission commended Governor Soludo for what he described as “visionary and pragmatic leadership that has redefined governance in Anambra State.”
“Governor Soludo is doing a marvelous job, particularly with projects like the Solution Fun City and the completion of the long-abandoned Government House,” “His legacy as a former Central Bank Governor and as the architect of the Agu Nechemba security model demonstrates his unmatched ability to address complex challenges through innovation and strategic foresight.”Okoye stated.
Hon. Okoye noted that the governor’s performance has not only won him credibility across the state but has also earned the trust and admiration of Ndi Anambra living outside the state.
“His re-election is not merely desirable,it is essential to sustaining the momentum of the current developmental trajectory,” he added.
Adding their voices to the endorsement were Dr. Onyedikachi Njoku, a senior banking executive, and Chief Odinaka Udeze (Ogbuefi Nwakaibeya), Treasurer-General of the 179 Anambra Towns Indigenes in Aba.
Both described Governor Soludo as “an institution in himself” and credited him with laying the groundwork for long-term, sustainable development.
“We are proud of the historic and transformational milestones his administration has achieved within a short period,” they pledged to “mobilize widespread support to ensure a resounding victory for Soludo’s second term.” they stated.
In his own remarks, Mr. Emma Nwabado, President-General of Ndi Anambra in Aba, echoed similar sentiments.
He applauded the governor’s emphasis on infrastructure renewal, urban development, and institutional reform.
“Having seen these projects firsthand, we can affirm that Governor Soludo’s accomplishments stand out,not just in Anambra, but across the Southeast. Ndi Anambra have every reason to return him for another term,” Nwabado said.
Ide Ifeanyi Okechukwu also praised the governor’s inclusive leadership style and his deep engagement with Ndi Anambra, both at home and in the diaspora.
The delegation collectively pledged to mobilize grassroots support across Port Harcourt, Aba, and other Anambra diaspora communities, citing Governor Soludo’s people-oriented governance, fiscal prudence, and strategic vision as compelling reasons for his re-election.
