We Are Committed to Making Anambra Safe, Free from Crime, Says SASA Boss
The Managing Director of the Anambra State Special Anti-Touting Squad (SASA), Mr. Monday Nwokoye, has reiterated the agency’s commitment to ensuring the state remains safe and protected from criminal activities, particularly touting.
Mr. Nwokoye issued a stern warning to criminals and individuals involved in touting, urging them to either leave the state or engage in legitimate business activities.
He revealed that the presence of SASA operatives at the Nkpor New Parts Bridge has significantly transformed the area, which was once plagued by criminal elements.
According to him, miscreants who previously operated in the vicinity have fled, abandoning their illicit activities.
“No more crime will be permitted in the state,” he declared.
He warned hoodlums to steer clear of Anambra or face the full weight of the law.
He noted that although Nkpor has now been cleared of criminal activities, SASA will maintain its presence to prevent a resurgence of touting and lawlessness.
Mr. Nwokoye assured residents that the state government remains resolute in its efforts to eliminate harassment, extortion, and all forms of hooliganism throughout Anambra.
Local community members and traders in Nkpor have welcomed the development, commending SASA for restoring peace and security to the once-troubled area.
