The Federal Polytechnic, Oko, located in Anambra State, has recently been recognized as one of the top 10 polytechnics in Nigeria.

The institution is ranked among the country’s top ten polytechnics, alongside other prestigious institutions such as Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) in Lagos State, Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State, The Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Kaduna State Polytechnic in Kaduna State, The Polytechnic, Ibadan in Oyo State, and The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, among others.

Ranking factors typically considered include, but are not limited to, Webometrics ranking, institutional reputation, student enrollment, infrastructure, and learning facilities.

Dr. Chidozie Ezekwere, Desk Officer of the Freedom of Information Unit at Federal Polytechnic, Oko, attributed the recent recognition to ongoing transformations within the institution.

He described this achievement as a testament to astute leadership, infrastructural development, academic integrity, moral values, and staff welfare initiatives introduced under the administration of the Rector, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie.

According to Dr. Ezekwere, this remarkable accomplishment is not merely a record of success but also a true reflection of the guiding philosophy of Dr. Awuzie’s administration, which emphasizes integrity, discipline, scholarly ethics, and staff welfare.
