ASP Chidera Samuel Oha
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Chidera Samuel Oha has formally assumed duty as the new Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO) of Zone 13 Police Headquarters, Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State.
His appointment, which was approved by the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, is part of ongoing strategic efforts to strengthen transparency, enhance effective information management, and deepen public confidence in the Nigeria Police Force across the zone.
ASP Oha hails from Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State. He was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force in 2021 after graduating from the Nigeria Police Academy, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biological Sciences.
Throughout his training and early years in service, he has undertaken several professional and specialized courses that have equipped him with strong operational and investigative competencies.
These include the Combat Operations and Counter-Terrorism Course at the Police Mobile Force (PMF) Training School, Ila-Orangun, Osun State; the Basic Detective Course at Wudil, Kano State; and a Police Refresher Course at the National Institute of Police Studies (NIPS), Abuja, among others.
Following his Presidential Commissioning, ASP Oha was posted to the Anambra State Police Command, where he completed his mandatory one-year attachment at the Central Police Station (CPS), Awka. He subsequently served as a Crime Officer at CPS Awka and later at B Division, Awka, where he also performed duties as a Patrol and Guard Officer. In these roles, he distinguished himself through diligence, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to duty.
With a solid blend of operational experience, investigative exposure, and professional training, ASP Oha is expected to further strengthen media relations, enhance information dissemination, and promote constructive engagement between the Police and the public across Zone 13, while consolidating on the achievements of his predecessors.
