Combat Training: Anambra CP Orutugu Charges Police Constables on Courage, Discipline
The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, has charged police constables in the state to demonstrate courage, discipline, and a high level of professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
The charge was conveyed in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, Tochukwu Ikenga and made available to journalists in Awka. According to the statement, the Commissioner addressed the officers on Friday during the second day of the ongoing Combat and Armed Drills Training for constables in the state.
Speaking at the training session, CP Orutugu emphasised the critical importance of mental resilience, strategic thinking, combat proficiency, and proper weapon handling.
He further stressed the need for strict adherence to established operational guidelines and rules of engagement, noting that professionalism and discipline remain fundamental to effective policing.
The Commissioner encouraged the trainees to remain focused, committed, and proactive, urging them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the exercise to tackle emerging security challenges in Anambra State.
He reiterated the Command’s commitment to strengthening operational capacity through continuous training and capacity-building initiatives aimed at enhancing public safety and security.
