Ahead of Soludo’s Second-Term Inauguration, Police Intensify Security Surveillance

The Anambra State Police Command has intensified security surveillance across the state ahead of the second-term inauguration of Governor Charles Soludo, scheduled for March 17, 2026.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed that the Command had heightened security measures across the state as preparations intensify for the swearing-in ceremony.
According to him, the Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, has also strengthened security advocacy, public sensitisation, and operational activities throughout the state to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free event.
Ikenga recalled that the Police Command recently received one hundred well-trained and properly equipped officers from the Nigeria Police College Oji River following specialised armed and combat training conducted at the institution a few days ago.
He explained that the officers would complement personnel already strategically deployed to critical locations across the state.
Their deployment he said is expected to further strengthen patrol operations and enhance intelligence gathering efforts aimed at maintaining law and order before, during, and after the inauguration ceremony.
The police spokesperson also urged residents, stakeholders, and visitors expected to attend the event to remain law-abiding and cooperate fully with security personnel as authorities work to guarantee the safety of all dignitaries and members of the public.
Ikenga reiterated that the Anambra State Police Command remains committed to providing adequate security and ensuring that the inauguration ceremony is conducted in a peaceful and secure atmosphere.
