AIG Zone 13 Honours New Promotions, Celebrates BIPOGA 2026 Stars

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13 Headquarters, Ukpo-Dunukofia, Abayomi Peter Oladipo, has decorated two newly promoted senior officers following their elevation to the ranks of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

The officers, Nzota Chidiebere and Akuchi Blessing, were decorated as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), respectively, during a ceremony held at the Zone 13 Headquarters.

The colourful event featured two key segments: the decoration of the senior officers and the presentation of certificates of award to outstanding participants of the recently concluded Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA), Asaba 2026.

In his remarks, AIG Oladipo congratulated the promoted officers and urged them to maintain high standards of professionalism and discipline in the discharge of their duties. 

He said that promotion comes with greater responsibility, noting that dedication to service remains paramount.

In addition, the AIG presented certificates of award to 109 athletes who distinguished themselves at BIPOGA 2026, where Zone 13—comprising the Anambra and Enugu State Commands—secured fourth position overall.

The zone recorded an impressive medal haul of 109 medals, including 43 gold, 21 silver, and 45 bronze. 

Commending the athletes for their performance, the AIG encouraged them to strive for even greater achievements in future competitions.

The event was attended by senior officers, including the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, Ikioye Orutugu, and the Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, Mamman Giwa, among others.
