Anambra Police Kick Off Massive Health, Sanitation Campaign

A total of 56 Police Divisions and eight Area Commands on Monday embarked on a sanitation exercise and a free medical outreach in Anambra State.

This forms part of activities marking this year’s National Police Day across the country.

The sanitation exercise and free medical outreach were aimed at promoting community health and strengthening police-community relations in Anambra State.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, in a statement:“In addition, the Command organized a free medical outreach where officers and residents benefited from basic health checks and medical consultations.

“This initiative underscores the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to not only ensure security but also contribute to the overall well-being of citizens.

“To this end, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc, mnips, PhD, noted that the activities form part of a broader lineup of events scheduled to commemorate National Police Day on April 7, 2026.

“He emphasized that the Command remains dedicated to community-oriented policing and will continue to engage in initiatives that foster trust and collaboration with the public.

“The Command enjoins residents to continue supporting the Police in their efforts to maintain peace and security across the State,” .
