Anambra First Lady Praises Red Cross for Unwavering Support to Humanity

The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo, has praised the men and women of the Nigerian Red Cross Society for their unwavering commitment and service to humanity.

The wife of  governor Soludo ,in a statement issued on Friday to mark the 2026 World Red Cross Day, described the Red Cross Society as one of the greatest forces for healing, compassion, and unity across the world.

Mrs Soludo, who is the founder of the Nonye Soludo Healthy Living Initiative, stated:

“Today, we celebrate the courage, compassion, and selfless service of the men and women of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, as well as the global International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, whose unwavering sacrifices continue to bring hope to humanity in times of crisis.

“On this World Red Cross Day, we are reminded that compassion remains one of the greatest forces for healing and unity. From disaster response and healthcare support to critical humanitarian interventions, the Red Cross continues to stand for compassion, dignity, and service to humanity.

“As we honour these everyday heroes, let us all embrace the spirit of humanity by extending love, care, and support to vulnerable people around us. Together, we can build a more compassionate and resilient society where everyone is safe, happy, and secure.”
