Falconscare CEO Uzoamaka Ike Joins Girls in Diplomacy Fellowship
The Chief Executive Director of Falconscare Initiative for Women with Disabilities Empowerment, Ms. Uzoamaka Ike, has been conferred Permanent Founding Membership of the Girls in Diplomacy (GID) Vanguard Fellowship – Executive Professional Track, Inaugural Cohort 2026, in recognition of her successful completion of the prestigious global leadership programme.
The fellowship assembled accomplished women leaders from across the world for an intensive executive programme focused on diplomacy, multilateral negotiations, institutional leadership and policy development.
As part of the programme, Ike collaborated with other fellows to co-author the inaugural Executive Policy Memorandum, a document to be submitted to a relevant multilateral institution as the cohort’s contribution to global policy engagement.
Speaking on the recognition, Ike described the fellowship as a transformative experience that strengthened her resolve to champion inclusive diplomacy and promote the meaningful participation of women, young people and persons with disabilities in leadership and decision-making.
She commended the Founder and Executive Director of the Girls in Diplomacy Institute, Winnie Kennedy, for creating a platform that nurtures emerging global leaders.
Ike also acknowledged the mentorship of Ambassador Maria Brewer, a two-time former United States Ambassador, describing her guidance as invaluable throughout the fellowship.
The Falconscare CEO further appreciated the Girls in Diplomacy Institute Secretariat, mentors, facilitators and fellow Vanguard Fellows for providing what she described as an enriching and impactful learning experience.
She pledged to leverage the knowledge, skills and global networks acquired through the fellowship to deepen Falconscare Initiative’s work in disability inclusion, women’s empowerment, humanitarian action, gender equality and inclusive leadership.
The recognition marks another milestone in Ike’s leadership journey and reinforces Falconscare Initiative’s commitment to advancing inclusive leadership while amplifying the voices of women and persons with disabilities in local, national and global policy spaces.
