Anambra Women Are Icons of Doggedness, Resilience — Nonye Soludo

The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has described women in the state as embodiments of doggedness and resilience.

Dr. Nonye Soludo, who is the founder of Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, made the statement on the occasion of Women’s Equality Day.

“As the world marks Women’s Equality Day today, we celebrate the strength, brilliance, resilience, and invaluable contributions of women everywhere. Equality is not about giving women an advantage; it is about ensuring that every woman and girl has the opportunity to learn, lead, work, dream, and thrive without limitations imposed by gender, culture, religion, or social impediments,” she added.

According to the First Lady, when women are empowered, families are stronger, communities are healthier, and societies move forward.

She said that in all that people do, they should continue to build a world where every girl can see possibilities in her future and every woman can take her rightful place at the table.

“Cheers to the women who inspire, nurture, lead, and transform our world. May we keep creating spaces where their voices are heard, their contributions valued, and their potential fully realised,” she said.
