Ebelechukwu International Schools Opens 5th Campus, Unveils Skills Training for Students

Multiple award-winning Ebelechukwu International Group of Schools has opened a new campus at Akuzor Village, Nkpor, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The two-storey building, which is the fifth campus of the school and has been christened the Jerusalem Campus, is expected to provide not only a conducive and convenient environment for cognitive development but also serve as a citadel for vocational education and the acquisition of special skills.

Students from JSS 1 to JSS 3 will be exposed to skills such as cloth-making, weaving, GSM repairs, coding and digital technology, among others, which will be incorporated into the school’s curriculum to better equip them from an early age to face the economic challenges in the country.

It would be recalled that the school recently won a national award at a competition in Lagos State, where its students were the cynosure of the event.

The newly inaugurated Jerusalem Campus of Ebelechukwu International Group of Schools, located at Akuzor Village, Nkpor, the country home of the proprietor and director of the school, Chief Timothy Ebelechukwu Chukwukelu, is expected to bring educational opportunities to the doorsteps of poor and vulnerable members of society.

Speaking during the inaugural ceremony held at the premises of the new campus, the Director and Proprietor of Ebelechukwu International Group of Schools, Nkpor, Chief Timothy Ebelechukwu Chukwukelu, said the establishment of the new Jerusalem Campus was a further expression of the school’s commitment to providing an environment where children could learn, grow and discover themselves, as well as develop the confidence to pursue greatness.

Chukwukelu, who emphasised that they believed every child was gifted with the potential for stardom at Ebelechukwu International Group of Schools, maintained that their responsibilities as educators were not merely to teach children what to know but also to help them discover who they were, what they could become and how they could make meaningful contributions to society.

He said this was why the school’s vision remained, “To discover and develop the potentials in every child.”

He said the motto of the school was “Inspire to Aspire,” stressing that education was about inspiring children to dream big, thrive, excel and aspire to greater heights.

The Director equally added that the name Jerusalem, attached to the new campus, carried a message of purpose, hope, peace and aspiration.

According to him, it was a reminder that every meaningful journey began with a vision, faith and determination to do something that would positively influence generations to come.

He therefore assured parents that Ebelechukwu International Group of Schools would continue to uphold the standards that had brought the school to the limelight. According to him, this would involve continued investment in children, quality teaching, character formation, innovation, discipline, creativity, technology and the total development of every child entrusted to the care of Ebelechukwu International Group of Schools.

According to him, the goal of the institution was not just to raise academically successful children but also to raise responsible, confident, disciplined, compassionate and purpose-driven young people who would become leaders and positive changemakers wherever they found themselves after their sojourn at Ebelechukwu International Group of Schools.

The Principal of the new Jerusalem Campus, Mr Victor Chiagozie Orajiaka, disclosed in an interview that the new campus would, among numerous other opportunities, provide a platform for children to acquire hands-on skills in clothing, information technology (IT), weaving and other areas to which they would be exposed, helping them to keep pace with the challenges of the moment.

Orajiaka, who disclosed that the school would commence operations at the new Jerusalem Campus with students from JSS 1 to JSS 3, maintained that they wanted to begin training the students from the junior level while introducing new innovations so that, by the time they graduated at the SS3 level, they would be able to survive in any situation within and outside the country.

A parent who identified himself as Pastor Ernest Ekeigwe told this journalist that the motto of Ebelechukwu International Group of Schools, “Inspire to Aspire,” was being practically demonstrated in the school.

He said his children had schooled there, with some of them now preparing to enter the university to pursue higher education.
