Unrepentant Criminals Terrorizing Anambra, No Such Thing as Unknown Gunmen- Police

The Anambra State Police Command has categorically stated that there is no such entity as “unknown gunmen” in the state, emphasizing instead that those responsible for acts of terror are unrepentant criminals.

In a statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Command noted that Ndi Anambra, have aligned with the Police and other security agencies in acknowledging that the perpetrators are not mysterious figures but unrepentant criminals.

“These individuals terrorizing the state are unrepentant criminals who have refused to change their ways,”

“In light of this, Ndi Anambra have demonstrated greater resolve and commitment by working hand-in-hand with the Police and other security agencies to identify and apprehend these bad elements, denying them the space to inflict further harm on the state.”SP Ikenga stated.

He added that the Police have intensified surveillance operations and patrols across Anambra to deter criminal activities and maintain public order.

SP Ikenga urged members of the public to report any security concerns or request assistance by calling the Command Control Room at 07039194332 or contacting the PPRO directly at 08039334002 for prompt response.

“The ‘NPF Rescue Me’ app is also available for free download on both Android and iOS platforms for smartphone users,” he added.
