2025:Your PVC, Your Power, First Lady Sparks Political Awakening in Anambra

Anambra State first Lady, Dr Mrs Nonye Soludo

The Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has called on residents to actively participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise ahead of the crucial November 8, 2025, governorship election.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) commenced the CVR exercise on July 8, and it is scheduled to end on July 17.

The registration process will run daily from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., including Saturdays, but excluding Mondays.

In a statement issued on Wednesday in Awka, Dr. Soludo who is also the Convener of the Healthy Living Initiative emphasized the importance of the CVR process as a vital step for eligible voters to secure their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and fully participate in shaping the state’s democratic future.

“INEC has officially commenced the much-anticipated Continuous Voter Registration across the state. This is a critical opportunity for individuals who need a new PVC, those who have relocated and need to update their registration, people who have lost or damaged their cards, or those who have yet to collect theirs from previous exercises,” she said.

Dr. Soludo urged all eligible voters in Anambra to take full advantage of the registration window, noting that the PVC remains the most powerful tool citizens have to influence governance and development in the state.

“Do not let this opportunity pass you by. If you are of voting age and currently reside in Anambra, ensure you register or update your records as needed. This is not just a right it is a civic duty,”

“Possessing a PVC is the only legitimate means through which citizens can express their political will. It is your gateway to influencing who leads Anambra and how our future is shaped. Without your PVC, your voice cannot translate into meaningful action at the ballot box.”

She further appealed to residents, especially women and youth, to take the process seriously and not allow apathy or delay to cost them their right to vote.

“The future of Anambra lies in the hands of its people. Do the right thing get your PVC and be ready to make your voice count,” Dr. Soludo said.
