Peter Obi Is Pretender Presenting False Image to Public – APGA Chieftain
Former Governor of Anambra State Mr Peter Obi and Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe
The National Coordinator of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors Forum, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, has described former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, as a “pretender full of deceit.”
In a strongly worded statement issued on Saturday, Obigwe, who holds the traditional titles of Akaekpuchionwa and Chinyelugo 1 of Ogbaru, stated that Peter Obi’s “game of deception” is doomed to fail both in Anambra State and across Nigeria.
According to him, the image Obi projects to unsuspecting Nigerians is not a true reflection of his character or political legacy.
Full Statement:
“I stand by my position that the self-acclaimed ‘Saint’ Peter Obi is a pretender let him do his worst. The image he is projecting to gullible Nigerians is entirely fake.I recently watched a video in which he subtly attacked Governor Soludo during a Labour Party campaign rally for George Moghalu. At that rally, Obi compared SABMiller Breweries to Soludo’s Solution Fun City and absurdly claimed that SABMiller is the highest taxpayer in Anambra State.
Thankfully, the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AIRS) has since debunked that falsehood and clarified the true facts.
What Peter Obi won’t disclose to the public is that his personal shares in SABMiller are reportedly 100 times larger than the shares he allocated to the Anambra State government.
In truth, SABMiller is more of Peter Obi’s private business one he allegedly established using state funds under questionable circumstances.
I raised this concern long ago: what Peter Obi documented in his handover note to former Governor Obiano as the state’s investment in SABMiller did not match the amount he actually withdrew from the state’s coffers.
The excess funds, I believe, were used to purchase his personal shares, which today vastly outweigh the state’s holdings. If you visit SABMiller today, you’ll find that a close associate and kinsman of Peter Obi one known for his sycophantic loyalty is now a major distributor. This further supports the claim that SABMiller serves not just as Obi’s private venture, but as a business primarily benefiting his inner circle and kinsmen.
Let’s also consider what the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, recently said about Peter Obi. To quote him directly:
“They say Peter Obi will be president president where? Out of emotion, most of you are following someone you don’t even know. For eight years, Obi was governor but never conducted local government elections. Now he claims democracy isn’t working, but it ‘worked’ under his rule?Only Obi served simultaneously as Governor and Chairman of all the local governments in Anambra for eight years. That era is gone; he will never have that opportunity again.”
Wike’s statement is factual.Peter Obi’s media team tried and failed to counter Wike’s remarks by sharing a video of a local government swearing-in ceremony. What they didn’t tell the public is that the election occurred at the tail end of Obi’s administration and that the elected officials served under Obiano, not Obi himself.
Therefore, Wike was absolutely right: Peter Obi is preaching what he never practiced. The reality remains that Obi is a political opportunist and a pretender. He only succeeds in deceiving the uninformed, those who follow him blindly under the so-called ‘Obidient’ movement.
Anyone who visits Anambra today can see with their own eyes the solid foundations Governor Soludo is laying. He is focused on genuine development, not playing to the gallery like Peter Obi.
In just over three years in office, Governor Soludo’s achievements already surpass those of Peter Obi’s eight-year tenure. In fact, Soludo has outperformed all his predecessors. His administration is clearly intentional in its development agenda.
Under Governor Soludo’s leadership, Anambra is truly in capable hands. The people of our state will reward him with a resounding victory in the upcoming November 8th election.
As for Peter Obi, the so-called ‘pretender-do-the-worst’, his game of deception has run its course in Anambra. It’s time he returned to pick his clothes from where he took his bath—the charade is over.”
