Eid el Maulud: Soludo Urges Muslim Faithful to Reflect on Peace, Love, and Compassion

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has described Eid el Maulud as not only a time for joyous celebration but also a moment for deep reflection on the values of peace, love, and compassion exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Governor Soludo made this known in a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, in a congratulatory message to the Muslim Ummah in Anambra State and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid el Maulud, which marks the birth of the Prophet.

In his goodwill message, the governor noted that the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad advocate unity, kindness, and respect for all people, regardless of their faith or background.

He called on the Muslim community to use this sacred season to uphold the principles of tolerance, understanding, and harmony, stressing that these values are essential for building a better and more cohesive society.

Governor Soludo also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and peaceful environment in Anambra State, where people of all religions can coexist in mutual respect and harmony.

He congratulated all Muslims in Anambra and across Nigeria on the celebration of Eid el Maulud, and prayed that the occasion brings joy, peace, and prosperity to the nation.
