According to a statement from the organizers, the official NDAA 8.0 Nominees’ List has now been released following the close of the nomination window.
The unveiling ,an interactive session with stakeholders, nominees, and media partners—held at PHLAT4 Event Centre, Port Harcourt, on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
President/Founder of NDAA, Mr. Oxford T. Okpalefe, expressed delight over the massive participation recorded this year.
“There was a significant surge in public interest. We received over 50,000 nominations from across Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Ondo, Imo, and Abia states,”he noted.
He explained that after nominations closed, the team embarked on a rigorous process of sorting entries, conducting research and evaluations, consulting relevant stakeholders, and compiling an accurate list of nominees.
This was followed by configuring the online voting system to ensure a seamless, transparent voting experience for the public.
“This edition features 56 award categories and an impressive 840 nominees,” Mr. Okpalefe revealed.
“We encourage all nominees to take their campaigns seriously. Participation is growing rapidly across all states, and a relaxed nominee may be surprised by the level of competition from others.”
He reaffirmed that Port Harcourt will remain the permanent host city for the awards—unless a state government sponsors the event in a different Niger Delta state.
NDAA 8.0 is scheduled to hold on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at The Arena Event Center, Port Harcourt.
Full event details are available on the website.
As voting intensifies, Mr. Okpalefe urged supporters to actively participate:“Vote for your preferred nominee. Every state in the Niger Delta is represented. Simply visit www.ndaawards.juvenismag.com, click on VOTING, and make your voice count.”
