The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has urged Nigerians to cultivate a positive mindset in all aspects of their lives, despite the prevailing socio-economic challenges in the country.
Dr. Soludo said that Nigerians should consciously choose happiness, love, and inner peace, while feeding their minds with positivity, contentment, and consistency.
According to her, these virtues are fundamental to good health, mental clarity, and a meaningful human existence.
The wife of the Anambra State Governor, who is also the founder of the Healthy Living Initiative, made this appeal in a message to commemorate the International Mind-Body Wellness Day. She noted that the observance is aimed at raising awareness of the strong connection between mental and physical health, stressing that a healthy mind produces a healthy body, and vice versa.
Speaking further, Dr. Soludo explained that true self-development cannot be achieved when the mind and body are not in harmony.
She stated that mental and physical wellness largely determines how far individuals can go and how successful they can be in their healthy living journey.
“I urge Nigerians to be intentional about building a mindset that aligns with their physical wellbeing, especially as they pursue self-improvement goals in the New Year,” “Feed your minds with positivity, love, peace, contentment, and consistency. These virtues are essential for good health and a clearer sense of purpose.”she said.
Dr. Soludo called on Nigerians to adopt a balanced approach to healthy living by nurturing both the mind and the body, noting that the two are inseparable and must work together to achieve optimal health and fulfillment.
She further encouraged Nigerians to use the occasion of the International Mind-Body Wellness Day to reflect on their lifestyle choices and recommit themselves to holistic wellbeing that promotes long-term health, productivity, and personal growth.
