Anambra First Lady Felicitates Muslim Community on Eid ul Mawlid, Urges Peace, Tolerance

The First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has felicitated with the Muslim community in Anambra State and across Nigeria as Muslims mark Eid ul Mawlid, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Dr. Soludo also urged Nigerians to embrace peace, religious tolerance, mutual respect and understanding as Muslim faithful celebrate the occasion.

The First Lady, who is the founder of Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, made the call in a message issued on Tuesday by her media aide, Daniel Ezeigwe, to commemorate the celebration and extend her goodwill to Muslim faithful.

According to her, the occasion should provide an opportunity for Muslims and Nigerians in general to strengthen their faith and promote kindness, compassion, peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding.

She said: “Wishing our Muslim brothers and sisters in Anambra State and across Nigeria a blessed and peaceful Eid ul Mawlid celebration.
“May this sacred occasion bring peace to our homes, strengthen our faith, and inspire us to show greater kindness and understanding to one another.
“Eid ul Mawlid Mubarak!”

Eid ul Mawlid, also known as Mawlid al-Nabi, is observed by many Muslims to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
