Onitsha Bubbles as Gospel Artists Set to Thrill at Onitsha Unusual Praise 2025

The commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra State, is already aglow with excitement as renowned gospel artists arrive ahead of the Onitsha Unusual Praise 2025 concert.

The highly anticipated programme scheduled to hold at the Cathedral Basilica of the Holy Trinity field, Onitsha, will commence o. Friday, February 14, 2025.

Speaking to journalists in Onitsha, one of the key facilitators of Unusual Praise, Barr. Mrs. Tina Igbokwe, described the event as “a transformative and life-changing encounter with God.”

According to her, Unusual Praise is designed for those seeking a deeper relationship with God and a divine encounter through collective worship.

“When you come to Onitsha Unusual Praise, you come to thank and worship God,” “It is about fulfilling your purpose as a child of God to honor and glorify Him. Here, you worship in communion with other faithful believers and experience the awesome presence of God.”she said.

Barr. Igbokwe further explained that Unusual Praise serves not only as an evangelism platform but also as an empowerment initiative.

Through the program, many individuals without viable means of livelihood have been trained and equipped with business skills.

“Over 1,000 people have been empowered through Unusual Praise events, with about 20 beneficiaries emerging from the Onitsha edition alone,” she stated.

She also revealed that the event has consistently recorded remarkable spiritual impact.

“It is the only program that converts over 1,000 people to God every year. In Onitsha alone, about 800 souls are won annually,” she added.

Ensuring participants of a safe environment, Rev. Fr. Bartholomew Okpalaugo assured that adequate security measures have been put in place.

“Onitsha is safe. We have successfully hosted Unusual Praise here for over four years without any security challenges,” “We invite everyone to come and worship with us and witness God’s mighty works. Security is guaranteed for all.”he added.

Former Chairman of Onitsha Unusual Praise 2018, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, also shared his excitement ahead of this year’s edition. He noted that the 2025 program would feature the traditional line-up of activities including praise sessions, spiritual talks, and a Holy Mass.

“I have made a personal commitment to participate actively in Unusual Praise every year,” “It is my way of expressing gratitude to God for His continuous blessings in my life.”Ozigbo said.

Major sponsors of Unusual Praise include G.U.O. Transport, Tiger Foods, Fidelity Bank, Valentine Chineto Ozigbo Foundation, GB Foods, and Alpha Morgan Bank, among others.

This year’s event will feature a rich lineup of celebrated gospel ministers such as Chinyere Udoma, Jude Nnam, Rosemary Chukwu, Queen Edegwa, Ada Jesus, Chigozie Anitia, Ada Zion, and Izuka Kennedy, among others.

As anticipation builds, Onitsha prepares once again to host thousands of worshippers in what promises to be another night of divine encounter, praise, and transformation.
